JOB FAIR 2025 EMPOWERS YOUTH AT SALESIAN COLLEGE OF HIGHER EDUCATION, DIMAPUR

Dimapur, June 25, 2025 — A large number of aspiring job seekers gathered today at the Salesian College of Higher Secondary Education, Dimapur, for the one-day Job Fair 2025. The event was organized by the Integrated Development Association (AIDA) and the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, in collaboration with the Salesian College of Higher Secondary Education, District Employment Exchange, NCSC for Differently Abled, Dimapur. There were around 150 candidates who registered and 90 were shortlisted.

The special guest, Shri Abdu Saleem TK, Head of Office and Rehabilitation Officer NCSC, Dimapur, addressed the gathering, emphasizing on garnering skills for employability and career development. Fr. Dr. Roy George, Director of AIDA, in his keynote address emphasized the importance of meaningful employment and skill development among today’s youth. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sebi Chacko, Program Coordinator of AIDA – Don Bosco Job Placement Network, who acknowledged the collective efforts of all partners and stakeholders.

The Job Fair saw enthusiastic participation from a diverse range of recruiting organizations, who conducted both online and offline interviews. They include:

The fair provided students and local youth with an exceptional platform to interact directly with recruiters, explore career opportunities, and participate in on-the-spot interviews and counselling sessions. It also offered career guidance and information on vocational training, fulfilling its aim to bridge the gap between education and employment.

This event marked a significant step toward community upliftment and employment empowerment, aligning with the missions of AIDA and the Don Bosco Job Placement Network to build a skilled, confident, and job-ready youth population in Nagaland.

The event commenced with a solemn invocation prayer led by Fr. Elow Samuel, Rector of Salesian College. This was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Fr. Dr. Paul Punii, Principal of the College.
