Bishops, Priests, Religious, Family Members and Well-Wishers Gather to Celebrate a Life Dedicated to God, the Church and the Young DIMAPUR, June 13, 2026: In a moving celebration marked by prayer, gratitude, and heartfelt tributes, Salesian priest Fr. C.T. Varghese, SDB, commemorated the Golden Jubilee of his Religious Profession, completing fifty years of faithful consecrated life in the service of God, the Church, and the young. The jubilee celebrations were held at the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre, 3rd Mile, Dimapur, drawing bishops, priests, religious, family members, former students, collaborators, and members of the Salesian Family from across the region.

Dimapur, June 10: Salesian College, Institute of Philosophy (SCIP), Dimapur, formally inaugurated its Academic Session 2026–2027 on Wednesday with a solemn and inspiring ceremony that brought together Salesian priests, philosophy students, faculty members, and guests in a celebration of learning, formation, and the Salesian spirit. The programme was held under the theme “Igniting Minds, Inspiring Hearts: Commencing the Journey of Excellence.” The inaugural ceremony commenced with the Hymn to the Holy Spirit, invoking God’s blessings upon the academic community, followed by the traditional Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment that comes through the pursuit of truth, wisdom, and knowledge.

First-year philosophy students of Salesian College, Dimapur, completed a two-week skill development programme at AIDA, gaining practical training in entrepreneurship, agriculture, waste management, health awareness, electrical work, and leadership to better serve young people and communities in the future.

It was on that day the school extension building of Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Dergaon was jointly inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Provincial and Shri. Bhabendra Bharali MLA, Dergaon.
