The Kohima Job Fair 2026 served as more than a recruitment platform; it was a significant youth empowerment and social development initiative that brought together government agencies, educational institutions, industry leaders, and civil society to address unemployment. By offering over 1,000 job opportunities across diverse sectors, the programme enabled young people to access employment, gain exposure to professional careers, and move towards economic independence. For parents, it provided hope and assurance regarding their children’s future, while for the government, it supported efforts to enhance employability, reduce unemployment, and promote skill-based development. At the societal level, the initiative contributed to building a productive workforce, strengthening families, reducing social vulnerabilities, and fostering inclusive economic growth, demonstrating how collaborative action can create meaningful opportunities for the youth and contribute to the overall development of Nagaland.
