10th February 2026 was indeed a memorable day in the golden annals of Don Bosco, and in particular the bosconians and the parents of DBHSS Dergaon. It was on that day the school extension building of Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Dergaon was jointly inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Provincial and Shri. Bhabendra Bharali MLA, Dergaon. It was blessed very Rev. Fr. Pampackal Joseph sdb, the Salesian Provincial of the Province of Dimapur. The inaugural function began at 10.30 am. Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur, has secured a B++ Grade in its first accreditation cycle by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.86. National Seminar on Rural Development in Northeast India at Itanagar College

Aimed at discussing the challenges and opportunities for rural development in Northeast India, the Department of Economics at Don Bosco College Itanagar organized a two-day national seminar on “Challenges and Opportunities for Socio-Economic Development in Rural Areas of Northeast India.” The seminar, which took place on February 7-8, was supported by ICSSR-NERC and Federal Bank.
