Imphal 16 June 2023: In the midst of ongoing unrest and challenges faced by Manipur, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination results were declared yesterday, bringing a glimmer of hope to the state. Don Bosco Schools in Manipur showcased outstanding performance in the exams, demonstrating resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
A total of 732 students appeared for the HSLC exams across Don Bosco Schools. Out of them, an impressive 569 students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 77.73%. These results bear testament to the unwavering commitment of both students and teachers towards their academic pursuits, despite the prevailing circumstances.
DBHSS Chingmeirong emerged as the top-performing school, with 135 out of 144 students passing the exams, leading to an exceptional pass percentage of 93.75%. The school also produced 89 students in the first division, 45 students in the second division, and 1 student in the third division. Only 7 students will be appearing for compartmental exams, while 2 students, unfortunately, failed to pass.
Securing the second position, DBHSS Punanamei achieved a commendable pass percentage of 88.24%. Out of the 68 students who appeared for the exams, 60 students successfully cleared them. The school celebrated 28 students in the first division and 32 students in the second division.
DBS Langjing claimed the third position with a pass percentage of 85.38%. Out of the 130 students who appeared for the exams, 111 students passed. The school boasted 71 students in the first division, 37 students in the second division, and 3 students in the third division.
Despite the prevailing challenges, DBS Khoupum exhibited a praiseworthy performance with a pass percentage of 85.34%. Similarly, DBS Shajouba demonstrated unwavering determination, with 83.33% of the students passing the exams.
DBHSS Maram showcased significant improvement with a pass percentage of 69.66%. Out of the 145 students who appeared for the exams, 101 students successfully passed. The school produced 30 students in the first division, 70 students in the second division, and 1 student in the third division.
DBHSS Tamenglong, however, faced relatively lower results, with a pass percentage of 43.24%. Out of the 111 students who appeared for the exams, only 48 students managed to pass.
The outstanding performance of Don Bosco Schools in Manipur amidst the prevailing unrest serves as an inspiration to the entire state.
