Animation Programme Nurtures Values and Creativity Among Young Learners at Don Bosco Borduria

Borduria, July 10: A two-day Animation Programme for students of Classes I to III was successfully organised at Don Bosco School Longding, Arunachal Pradesh, providing young learners with an engaging blend of value education, creative activities, games, and interactive learning. Animated by Br. Paul SDB and Ms Clare, with the support of the school teachers, the programme focused on the holistic development of children by nurturing positive values, teamwork, creativity, and self-confidence.

The programme on the first day commenced at 9:00 a.m. with a prayer service, followed by a warm welcome accorded to the animators by the students. A welcome song created a joyful atmosphere before Br. Jacob introduced the objectives of the programme, highlighting the importance of learning through participation and fun.

Throughout the day, Br. Paul conducted lively action songs and interactive indoor games, ensuring the active participation of every child while fostering teamwork and enthusiasm. Ms Clare delivered an inspiring session on gratitude, helping the children understand the meaning of being grateful, thankful, and appreciative of the blessings they receive in daily life.

The value-based learning continued with Br. Paul’s motivational story on greed, encouraging the students to practise contentment, kindness, and generosity. Following the lunch break, more games and action songs kept the children refreshed and actively engaged. The programme concluded with a talk on unity, centred on the message, “United we stand, divided we fall,” emphasising cooperation, mutual support, and teamwork.

The second day began with a prayer led by Fr. C.J. Mathew, setting a reflective tone for the day’s activities. Br. Paul animated the sessions with energetic action songs and delivered short talks on obedience and the importance of interest and consistent practice in achieving success.

Br. Jacob conducted an interactive game based on Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, introducing the students to the inspiring qualities of these national leaders in an enjoyable manner.

The creative sessions included a Spider-Man-themed team drawing activity, a self-introduction exercise in which students wrote about themselves, and an engaging talk by Ms Clare on Aim in Life. The children later expressed their dreams and aspirations through colourful drawings, reflecting their imagination and future goals.

Another highlight of the day was the group-wise newspaper costume-making activity, which encouraged creativity, collaboration, and innovative thinking among the participants. The programme concluded with lively action songs led by Br. Paul, leaving the children cheerful and energised.

Expressing gratitude at the conclusion of the programme, Fr. C.J. Mathew thanked the animators for conducting meaningful and enjoyable sessions that combined education with entertainment. He also appreciated the teachers for their support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme.

The two-day animation programme provided a joyful learning experience for the young students, strengthening values such as gratitude, obedience, unity, creativity, and teamwork while creating lasting memories through active participation and collaborative learning.
