Borduria, July 10: A two-day Animation Programme aimed at strengthening students’ academic skills, communication abilities, and personal development was successfully conducted at Don Bosco School, Borduria, on July 9–10. The programme was animated by Bro. Dhiraj Bhengra SDB and Sir Alen, offering students an engaging blend of interactive sessions, practical learning, and fun-filled activities.
The programme commenced with a prayer service, followed by words of welcome from the Headmaster, who greeted the resource persons and encouraged the students to participate actively in the sessions.
The programme began with an energetic ice-breaking session led by Bro. Dhiraj, creating a lively atmosphere and helping students interact freely with one another. Throughout the two days, the animators conducted several fun-filled activities that encouraged teamwork, active participation, and joyful learning.
Bro. Dhiraj delivered practical sessions on the art of note-taking and communication skills. Explaining effective note-taking techniques, he encouraged students to use their own words, employ symbols and abbreviations, and focus on understanding concepts rather than attempting to write down every word. During the communication skills session, he highlighted the importance of attentive listening, expressing ideas clearly and confidently, and developing effective interpersonal communication.
Sir Alen conducted sessions on examination preparation strategies and time management, equipping students with practical methods to improve their study habits. He encouraged the students to set realistic academic goals, prepare consistent study schedules, understand concepts instead of relying on memorisation, identify areas requiring improvement, and avoid procrastination by completing important tasks on time.
The interactive format of the programme, combined with games, discussions, and practical exercises, enabled students to participate enthusiastically while developing confidence, discipline, and essential life skills.
The programme concluded on July 10 with a short closing ceremony. The Headmaster expressed his sincere appreciation to Bro. Dhiraj Bhengra SDB and Sir Alen for conducting meaningful and student-centred sessions that combined academic guidance with character formation. On behalf of the students, one participant delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource persons, school management, and teachers for organising the enriching programme.
The event concluded with the singing of the Hymn to Don Bosco, bringing the two-day animation programme to a fitting close in the true Salesian spirit.
The programme successfully strengthened students’ study skills, communication abilities, time management, and self-confidence while reinforcing the values of discipline, responsibility, and lifelong learning through an engaging and participatory approach.
