Borduria, June 20: A highly competitive and intellectually stimulating House-wise Spelling Bee Competition was successfully conducted at Don Bosco School, Borduria, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes IV to VII.
Organized under the able guidance of Sir Ajay Tete, the competition was conducted smoothly with the wholehearted cooperation and support of all the teachers. A total of 165 students participated in the event, with 10 contestants (boys and girls) representing each House.
The competition unfolded in an atmosphere of excitement and healthy rivalry as participants displayed remarkable linguistic skills, confidence, and presence of mind. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats throughout the various rounds, especially during the much-awaited Rapid Fire Round.
One of the highlights of the event was the outstanding performance of Gohang Ago of Class VII, who created a record by correctly spelling an astonishing 72 words in just two minutes during the Rapid Fire Round, drawing loud applause and admiration from both teachers and students.
After a series of intense rounds, Yellow House emerged victorious, securing the first position with 374 points. Green House finished in the second place with 341 points, while Red House secured the third position with 326 points. Blue House finished fourth with 263 points.
The competition proved to be not only entertaining but also educational, fostering vocabulary enrichment, confidence, and a spirit of healthy competition among the students. The event concluded on a high note, with participants and spectators alike looking forward to similar academic contests in the future.
