Fr. Jojo Kachappilly SDB, a dedicated missionary serving in Angola, was warmly welcomed to the Salesian Province of Dimapur on May 15, 2024. He would be in the province for a short period. His welcome was marked with joy and reminiscences as he reunited with his fellow confreres during the Provincial Council meeting being held at the Don Bosco Provincial House,Dimapur.
Fr. Jojo’s journey back to the province commenced on 10 May 2024, when he arrived in Imphal. During his visit, he took the opportunity to reconnect with several Salesian houses in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, fostering bonds and sharing experiences with his fellow confreres in the charism of Don Bosco. His itinerary also includes visits to various formation houses in Nagaland in the upcoming days, further strengthening the ties within the Salesian community.
The presence of Fr. Jojo, who once served in the Salesian Province of Dimapur, is a testament to the enduring spirit of missionary zeal and dedication to service that characterizes the Salesian ethos. His homecoming is not only but also an opportunity for mutual enrichment and encouragement among the members of the province.
Fr. Jose Kuruvachira, the Provincial, expressed heartfelt gratitude and extended a warm welcome to Fr. Jojo on behalf of the entire province. Fr. Jojo’s presence serves as a reminder of the global reach and impact of the Salesian mission, inspiring all to continue the noble work of serving the young and the marginalized with love and compassion.
