“Heart Springs: A Journey Through Musings from the Depths” is an inspirational book written by Fr. Aerimattathil Sebastian Jose SDB. The book was released on 9 January 2021, at 10:30 am at DBC Maram by Rev. Fr (Dr) Jose Kuruvachira SDB, the Salesian Provincial of Dimapur Province. Fr. Sebastian, currently serving as the Rector of Don Bosco College Maram, has crafted a collection of musings that aim to inspire and uplift readers. This is his second book after his first book, “Gleaming Gleanings”.
Divided into three sections, “Heart Springs” covers a wide range of topics and themes, totalling 30 in all. The sections are titled “Biblical Musings,” “Collective Echoes,” and “Soulful Reveries.” Fr. Sebastian’s writings explore profound insights from biblical teachings, collective human experiences, and introspective reflections. Through his words, he aims to ignite a sense of inspiration and inner transformation within the readers.
Printed and published by Media House in Delhi, the book serves as a source of motivation and guidance for individuals of all age groups. Fr. Sebastian draws upon ancient Egyptian wisdom, where two crucial questions determined one’s journey in the afterlife: “Did you find joy?” and “Did you bring joy to others?” With this in mind, the author emphasizes the importance of finding joy and meaning in one’s own life and spreading joy to others.
Some highlights from “Heart Springs” include a meditation on Parousia (the second coming of Christ), reflections on ageing and the end of life, the necessity of empathy in society (referred to as “Outrospection”), the significance of being a giver rather than a receiver in life, the value of time and its maximum utilization, the power of synergy in accomplishing great things, and the acceptance of farewells as a natural part of life.
With “Heart Springs,” Fr. Aerimattathil Sebastian Jose SDB offers a collection of musings that encourage readers to find joy, meaning, and purpose in their lives. Through his inspirational writings, he invites individuals to reflect, grow, and make a positive impact on themselves and the world around them.
