With deep joy and gratitude to God, the Salesian Province of Dimapur witnessed the Priestly Ordination of Rev. Fr. Anthony Gangchuipou Panmei, SDB, on 19 December 2025 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Duiluan 2. The sacred rite was conferred by Bishop Linus Neli, DD, Archbishop of Imphal, in the presence of priests, religious, family members, and a large gathering of the faithful.
The liturgical celebration was marked by prayerful participation and a strong sense of thanksgiving for the gift of priestly vocation. Following the Holy Mass, a felicitation programme was held, featuring hymns of praise, messages of congratulations, words of exhortation from dignitaries, and a moment of sharing by the newly ordained priest.
Although he is originally from the Salesian Province of Dimapur (IND), he has been serving and completing his formation as a missionary in Central Italy for the past several years. Rev. Fr. Anthony Gangchuipou Panmei, SDB currently belongs to the Salesian Province of Central Italy (ICC).
