Borduria, 21 July 2023: In a heart-warming display of solidarity, Don Bosco Primary School in Borduria, Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh, took a significant step towards supporting the violence-affected victims of Manipur. The school’s management, along with its 184 students and 20 members from the Mothers/Women Friday Prayer Group, organized a peaceful rally to advocate for peace in the neighbouring state.
The peace rally commenced from the BORDURIA village playground and made its way to the Catholic Church, where it concluded with a solemn Divine Mercy Chaplet led by the school’s Principal, Rector, and Parish-priest Fr. CJ Mathew. Despite their young age, the students at Don Bosco Primary School have been closely following the developments and incidents of violence in Manipur. They have been offering daily prayers for peace in the troubled region during and after each Holy Mass.
The planned rally was an earnest effort to demonstrate their unwavering support and concern for their suffering brothers and sisters in Manipur. Holding placards with powerful messages such as “We want Peace in Manipur,” “Give Peace a Chance,” and “The solution lies in peace, not violence,” the students voiced their call for an end to the violence plaguing the state.
The school’s administration hopes that their peaceful demonstration will resonate with leaders both in Manipur and the central government, urging them to work tirelessly towards fostering peace, security, and reconciliation between different ethnic groups in the region.
This touching initiative by Don Bosco Primary School showcases the empathy and compassion of the young generation, inspiring hope for a better and harmonious future for all.
May God touch the minds and hearts of the leaders, leading them towards lasting peace, unity, and healing for the people of Manipur.
